General Information
The Tennessee Center for Dyslexia has established an excellent collaboration with the School Psychology graduate program at Middle Tennessee State University. All students in the program must complete a sequence of activities included in their course work to support assessment for dyslexia. This sequence is designed to prepare the students in the areas of assessment and intervention recommendations for children with dyslexia whom they will work with in Tennessee school systems. For more information, please visit MTSU's
Psychology Department.
The Center also provides inservice workshops for school psychologists who are currently working in Tennessee school systems. The six hour workshop covers understanding dyslexia, assessment techniques, preparing Individual Education Plans (IEPs), and characteristics of appropriate intervention. Announcement and registration information for all workshops can be found on the
workshops page. Registration is $10.00 to cover cost of handouts.
