The Tennessee Center for the Study and Treatment of Dyslexia offers asynchronous, online courses through our online learning platform. See below for current course offerings.

Once a course has been purchased, you will receive an email with an access code. The access code is required for enrollment into the course. Visit https://mtsu-dyslexia.blackboard.com/webapps/consulting-central/app/launch/TDMv2?locale=en-US and select “Enroll” for the course you purchased. When prompted, enter the access code you received via email. This will give you access to your purchased course.

Dyslexia in K-2: Spring 2026

Dyslexia in K-2: An Introduction to Understanding, Identifying, and Responding to Characteristics of Dyslexia in the Primary Grades is now available! This course was developed by the team at the Tennessee Center for the Study and Treatment of Dyslexia at Middle Tennessee State University. Our goal is to better equip pre-service and in-service general and special education teachers, reading specialists, interventionists, literacy coaches, and other education professionals to identify risk indicators and characteristics of dyslexia in primary grade students and to use structured literacy to intensify instruction for these learners.

Learners work at their own pace between March 5 and May 31, 2026 to complete the course.

Upon successful completion, learners will receive a certificate of completion for eight hours of professional development.

The cost of this course is $199.

Dyslexia in the Upper Elementary Grades: Spring 2026

This course was developed by the Tennessee Center for the Study and Treatment of Dyslexia at Middle Tennessee State University. The goal of the course is to better equip pre-service and in-service general and special education teachers, reading specialists, interventionists, literacy coaches, and other education professionals to identify characteristics of dyslexia in upper elementary grade students (i.e., grades 3-5) and to use structured literacy to intensify instruction for these learners.
